Kathleen started her career as a dancer but after she was sidelined by a knee injury she moved into acting where she studied both in Vancouver and Toronto. While in Toronto, Kathleen studied with Second City TV - comedy improv and with "Sears & Switzer" (a comedy/mime team). Upon her arrival in Vancouver, Kathleen studied with the Gastown Actors Studio and the Theatre Group learning Sanford Meisner’s acting technique. Kathleen's credits as a performer include stage work, film, television, commercials and print ads.
In addition to being a performer, Kathleen has written, directed and produced various projects on video and two short films on 16mm film. Her first short film, “Moment In Time”, was nominated for 4 Leo Awards: Best Cinematography, Best Overall Sound, Best Male Lead and Best Female Lead in a short film under 30 minutes by the B.C. Motion Picture Association ‑ Leo Awards committee and was also screened at VFS’s International Film Festival in their inaugural year. Kathleen’s second short film, “G’Night Mom...,” was accepted into the Sea to Sky Film Festival in Squamish, B.C. for its world premiere and screened at Western Front.
As a writer, Kathleen has written 8 feature length scripts and is currently working on two new projects, a feature film, “The Sleeper”, and a television series, “Psych Squad”.
